With a passion for sustainability and a commitment to fostering environmental stewardship, Jake Schmidt is the Owner and Consultant at Good Earth Consulting LLC. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Aurora University, Jake draws on over 10+ years of experience in environmental management and helping organizations navigate the complexities of sustainability practices, resource conservation, regulatory compliance, event planning, and conferences.

Since founding Good Earth Consulting LLC, he has successfully partnered with a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to corporations, providing tailored strategies that drive both environmental and economic benefits. Jake's expertise includes a wide range of environmental disciplines, supported by his prior role as the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency Executive Director and experience as a restoration technician.

In addition to his consulting work, Jake serves on the Board of Directors for Wisconsin Lakes, Friends of Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge, and Walworth County Lakes Association. He has also served as President of the Friends of White River County Park, demonstrating his commitment to community and conservation. His collaborative approach emphasizes engaging stakeholders to create impactful solutions that align with each client's unique goals.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys engaging with the great outdoors through hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. He also loves cooking and grilling, and cherishes spending time with his wife. An avid exotic reptile keeper, Jake’s diverse interests reflect his deep appreciation for nature and wildlife.
My Story

At Good Earth Consulting LLC, our journey is rooted in a deep commitment to environmental stewardship and a desire to address the unique challenges faced by southeastern Wisconsin. Having worked extensively in the environmental field in this region, I, Jake Schmidt, have gained firsthand experience and insight into the specific needs and gaps in services that impact our communities and ecosystems.

Throughout my career, I have observed that many environmental organizations in southeastern Wisconsin struggle to access the comprehensive support and expertise necessary to effectively navigate regulatory frameworks, develop sustainable practices, and implement impactful conservation projects. The absence of tailored consulting services in our area became increasingly evident, as many organizations were left to tackle complex environmental issues on their own, often without the guidance or resources needed for success.

Driven by the desire to fill this void and empower local organizations, I made the decision to establish Good Earth Consulting LLC. My goal is to provide customized solutions that are not only effective but also resonate with the unique ecological landscape and community values of southeastern Wisconsin. With a firm belief in collaboration and community engagement, my approach focuses on working closely with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and aspirations. Together, we can create strategies that promote both environmental health and economic resilience.
